History

Cynthia's School of Dance & Music started 20 years ago. In room in the Berkley Hills Fire Hall in the North Hills.

One day a week during the summer of 1988 After much success, Cynthia found a community room for rent in the North Hills Village Mall on McKnight Road. Seven happy years in the North Hills Village Mall back corridor. The mall was taking on a new look and the dance studio had to move.

Its current location on McKnight Road across from Red Lobster.

The new studio included two dance rooms with observation windows, a music room, waiting room, two bathrooms, and a long hallway to display pictures from past years.

The studio was designed with the needs of the students. As the student grew , Cythnia's began dance companies for students who are gifted dancers. The company dancers have won numerous awards at competitions locally and in Canada. The dancers have entertained at local nursing homes, shopping malls, amusement parks, community days and other events.

Students also began celebrating their birthdays at Cynthia's with a theme party in a safe, private environment.

Today, Cynthia's School of Dance & Music offers classes in tap, ballet, jazz, hip-hop, break dancing, acrobatics, piano, voice, and wedding choreography and has opened company opportunities to our younger gifted dancers as well as continuing to bring the fun and enjoyment of dance to hundreds of students per year.
